Have you ever heard of visualising? When I say its a game changer, i'm not joking... Being able to create a 'happy place' in your mind is a tool Im so grateful I was able to learn and develop.
Our brains are amazing things, but did you know that it can not tell the difference between our imagination and reality?
It's true! Every time we sit in our negative thoughts, our minds believe its real and manifests more and more negativity. That is a big reason why it is so hard for us to break away from our negative thought patterns and behaviours.

How To Stop Negative Thought Patterns Step-by-Step
Find yourself somewhere to sit quietly, here we are going to work on breathing in a sequence of 6-3-9. So breath in for 6 seconds, hold for 3 seconds and slowly release for 9 seconds. Try to spend 10 minutes a day doing this.
When a negative thought pops up say out loud "Stop!"
Now I want you to visualise the image or write the thought on paper in you mind and slowly imagine it shrinking until you no longer see it.
Once you can no longer see the negative thought I want you to visualise a positive memory or imagine your safe/happy place instead. Repeat this for every negative thought and over time your brain will automatically create a positive thinking pattern.
As a bonus you could help create a positive thinking pattern quicker by also starting a daily routine which could include: Journaling, Affirmations and or Meditation.
